Fall Festival donations needed!
Panthers, we need Fall Festival donations! We are in need of Little Debbie cakes (individually wrapped), individual packs of gummies or fruit snacks, individual bags of chips or pretzels, and individually wrapped candy or prize items would be extremely helpful!
Please drop off in the main office by October 28th!

As you begin to prepare for that exciting time of costumes and candy- Just a quick note regarding costumes for Halloween at school. Your child may wear his/her costume to school on Friday, October 30th. ALL costumes must meet the school requirements for dress up days
NO scary, gruesome or horror costumes
No masks, hoods that cover the face*
No guns, knives, swords, or weapons of any kind.
Students must be able to take the costume off independently for restroom use
Please limit make-up/face paint so that students are not uncomfortable during the school day
*Costumes with masks that cover the face may be worn ONLY during the costume parade and contest (if participating)

Surprise! Attendance Matters!
Students at Church Hill Elementary had a sweet surprise on Friday, October 2! To celebrate showing up and being present, every student in attendance enjoyed popsicles during the day.
Wondering when the next Surprise Attendance Day will be? That’s the fun part—you never know when one will pop up! Make sure to set those alarm clocks, get plenty of rest, and BE PRESENT every day so you don't miss out on the next big celebration!

Beginning on Monday, October 12th our main office will be closed daily from 2:50 PM to 3:15 PM. Closing the office during this time ensures all staff members are available to assist with a safe and smooth dismissal.
Please take note of the following important updates:
• Transportation Changes: Please notify us of any transportation changes prior to 2:45 PM so we have enough time to inform your child’s teacher.
• Early Pickups: If you need to pick up your child early for an appointment, please do so before 2:50 PM.
• Attendance Reminder: Minutes missed during early sign-outs count against your allotted parent notes.

District Announcement: Safety first. As required by Tennessee state law and through our ongoing commitment to student safety, Hawkins County Schools will be showing age- appropriate firearm safety education videos to all students on Friday, September 4, 2026.
