T-dap booster vaccine, Tetanus-Diphtheria and Pertussis. Children entering the 7th grade must show proof of this immunization to be admitted to school in August. If you have not already done so, please make an appointment with your health care provider or local health department for your child’s vaccine. All immunizations must be on the official TN Dept. of Health Certificate. Please turn your documentation into your school.
Children with medical exemptions must provide documentation from their medical provider. Religious exemptions require a signed statement by the parent/guardian that vaccination(s) conflict with their religious tenets or practices.

Words on Wheels has been out in the community the past few weeks visiting students and giving out free books! If you see the bus in your community, bring your family by for a free book. We have books for all ages from preschool to adult.

Hawkins County students are engaging in STEAM activities in summer camps at Bulls Gap School.
Surgoinsville Middle School is proud to present Alice In Wonderland Junior, the 60 minute musical based on the classic book and Disney film. Don't forget the Hero Dance this Friday night 5:30-7:00. If anyone is willing to volunteer to help with concessions please let us know. The first 4 people to volunteer will get free admission for you and your child as well as a popcorn and drink of your choice. Volunteers need to be at the school at 4:45 and usually leave by 7:30.

Due to the threat of potential high wind and thunderstorms, the Second Harvest Food Distribution scheduled for today has been moved to next Thursday April 18. The distributions will be scheduled for the same times at Cherokee and Volunteer High School. There is no need to reregister.
